Wrought Iron Praying Mantis

A piece of garden life, preserved in iron forever.

An important part of any healthy garden, this praying mantis is carefully hand forged, shaped and finished to make this magnificent sculptural object.

Keep it on your coffee table as a piece of beach life frozen in iron, or let it live in your outdoor shower so it can hold your towel and bathing suit for you (it's quite sturdy and the mandibles have small hooks on the end), or it can hang out in your garden and guard your tomatoes for you. Spray seal it to keep it looking brand new forever or watch it slowly oxidize as it interacts with the air - it doesn't affect the strength of the metal at all. 

Praying mantis measures 17" long by 13" tall by 9" wide and weighs 4 lbs.
